What to Expect
BEFORE
One of our providers will assess if there may be a potential B12 deficiency with a screening questionnaire. There are certain conditions that predispose patients to a B12 deficiency.
DURING
The injection is usually given in the arm after the skin is cleansed thouroughly with alcohol. You may experience a slight stinging sensation as the medication is delivered.
AFTER
The injection site maybe sore and red after injection but usually resolves within 24 hours.
