What to Expect
BEFORE
We recommend that you refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. We also recommend not taking common over-the-counter medications that thin your blood at least 3-5 days before your treatment, as this increases your risk for bruising. These medications include fish oil, NSAIDS (advil, aleve, ibuprofen, motrin, aspirin), or vitamin E supplements. Do NOT stop taking any prescription medications or medications that your doctor recommends without speaking with your health care provider first.
DURING
Getting the treatment only takes about 20-25 minutes. Your clinician will already know where you wish to have wrinkles and fine lines smoothed away after a brief yet informative consultation. The Botox® solution is administered directly into problem areas.
AFTER
Since Botox® is relatively non-invasive, you can go back to living your life as usual after your treatment. However, we do recommend that you avoid rigorous exercise for 24 hours and stay out of direct sunlight.
