What to Expect
BEFORE
Avoid self-tanning lotions, spray tans, tanning beds and prolonged exposure to sunlight for 4 weeks before undergoing RF Microneedling. Do not wear makeup on the day of the treatment. Avoid skin irritants such as retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or salicylic acid for a few days before the treatment.
DURING
After consulting with our board-certified clinician, you will have your skin cleansed with a special solution, followed by application of a numbing agent. After allowing the numbing agent to take effect, the microneedling treatment will begin. The entire appointment takes about an hour.
AFTER
Wait at least 4 hours before washing the treatment area or applying cream or makeup. Avoid prolonged sun exposure or excessive sweating for 24 hours. Best results are seen after several treatments.
