Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Before & After
What to Expect
BEFORE
We recommend that you refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. We also recommend not taking common over-the-counter medications that thin your blood at least 3-5 days before your treatment, as this increases your risk for bruising. These medications include fish oil, NSAIDS (advil, aleve, ibuprofen, motrin, aspirin), or vitamin E supplements. Do NOT stop taking any prescription medications or medications that your doctor recommends without speaking with your health care provider first.
DURING
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers treatments take less than an hour to complete. Your clinician will already know the areas in which you wish to have treated after a brief yet informative consultation. We provide a topical anesthetic to ease any discomfort from the treatment.
AFTER
The treatment takes about two weeks to settle even though most patients see results almost immediately. Continue to avoid alcohol to reduce the risk of bruising and stay out of direct heat. As always, SPF is your friend!
