BEFORE
To ensure the best possible experience and results, here’s how to prepare for your appointment:
1 week before:
-Avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) unless prescribed by a physician
-Limit alcohol consumption
-Discontinue any facial treatments like microneedling, lasers, or waxing
24–48 hours before:
-Hydrate well and come to your appointment with clean skin
-Avoid strenuous workouts and saunas
Pro tip: Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores or autoimmune conditions.
DURING
The procedure is relatively quick—typically 30–45 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated.
Here’s how it works:
-Your provider will assess your facial anatomy and mark the injection sites.
-A topical anesthetic may be applied for comfort.
-Sculptra is then strategically injected into the deeper layers of the skin, where it begins stimulating collagen over time.
-Your provider may gently massage the treated areas to evenly distribute the product.

To ensure your results develop beautifully and evenly, follow the 5-5-5 Rule recommended by the manufacturer:
- Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days
