Expectations Before, During & After Treatment
BEFORE
We recommend that you refrain from drinking alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment. We also recommend not taking common over-the-counter medications that thin your blood at least 3-5 days before your treatment, as this increases your risk for bruising. These medications include fish oil, NSAIDS (advil, aleve, ibuprofen, motrin, aspirin), or vitamin E supplements. Do NOT stop taking any prescription medications or medications that your doctor recommends without speaking with your health care provider first.
DURING
Getting the treatment typically takes less than an hour. Your clinician will already know the areas in which you with to have treated after a brief yet informative consultation. We provide a topical anesthetic to ease any discomfort from the treatment.
AFTER
Results should be visible almost immediately after treatment. Mild redness or bruising is common after the procedure. You can apply a light coating of make-up to conceal redness 24 hours after treatment and use ice packs to ease swelling if desired.
